In a manner of speaking this book is also about Winston, his rude behavior and Churchillian altitudes that did much to negate the goodwill in many dominions to stay close to the Empire and make the Commonwealth work. In the end Britain is alone in the world again. it is also a sad story of self destructive behavior with "daddies life's history" becoming the only partial redemption of a rudely misspent life.
